Records of the Society for the History of Medical Science, 1950-80.

Minutes, announcements, correspondence, lists, and other papers fully document the first ten years of the Society's activities. After that, the fullness of the documentation diminishes year by year, although it still sufficient to follow the subject matter and speakers for general programs, and the identities of the group's officers and doers. Los Angeles was home base for many scholars and aficionados of medical history, whose social and professional connections reached far, so the list of speakers the Society gathered over all its years was outstanding and their programs of real interest.
